Out in Emeryville

 shoutout to the service at Emeryville community pool! The pool at my apartment was closed so I went to the Emeryville community pool. The gentleman that answered the phone was very pleasant in telling me how to get to the pool from the street. When I couldn't scan the code with my phone, he let me fill out a form on his computer. The fee was only $4 for continued use. Plus, someone from where I work recognized me. Facility was also very clean. Pool wasn't too deep. 6 ft. at most. The pool itself was also clean without being overly chlorinated. It was a quick drive from my apartment and I didn't have to walk too far to find parking. The lockers were kind of small but next time I'll have smaller bags to organize items by size which would make them easier to fit into the locker. It was also a very short drive to the store afterwards to buy something I needed. I am considering going back again. 😀🏊

unexpected encounters

 I think the price of food is going down. Last week I bought some chicken/potato/egg salad at Safeway and it was $4/$5 when it used to be $6/$7. I wonder if recent events in our country have something to do with that. Today at Safeway again, I waited about 30 min in line at the deli because the ladies at the front of the line were trying to explain to the worker how they wanted the sandwich. It turned out she's french so when it was my turn I spoke to her in the french I know. She asked where I was from. I said my parents were born in Egypt so she said I could also speak to her in Arabic since she understood Arabic.

 last Sunday I took a chance and went to the Grocery Outlet to see if I could find stakes to replace the one that had a missing piece in this pot. I thought the fruit theme looked nice🍅🌽🫑
