buying a house

yesterday, I inquired at the bank about buying a house. They said I need 2 years worth of w-2 forms and a credit check. I called previous employers to get the w-2 forms. Hopefully, I'll have them by Thursday. Today, I went again to the bank and got some good starting help. They said I need a credti check, 2 years of w-2 forms, make a 40% downpayment on home along with closing fees, and two months of mortgage payments after that. I transfered some money from my savings to my cash maximizer so I can get more interest payment from my Cash Maximizer. Apparently, there was a special promotion so the new interest rate supposedly should be .90% so I should hopefully make $6.76/month rather than only $3.62/month. I'll let you know the updates

Yesterday evening, I looked at some homes for sale on the internet. The two places I looked at were San Jose and the Walnut Creek/Concord area. The homes go for $200,000+-$600,000+ from what I saw. However, I really need a good real estate agent as the internet is not that reliable with that sort of thing
