UT CE course

I took a continuing education course sponsored by the University of Tennessee in winter regarding the MCH (maternal and child health) population. It covered issues of physical fitness. There were 4 speakers; one of them talked of an organization called Bright Futures which focuses on family relationships with health care system. This can really affect a healthy lifestyle. I rrrrreeeaaalllyyy enjoyed it. After the speakers finished talking, there was a panal discussion where they answered various questions. It was very down to earth. The speakers used everyday language and pictures of real people and work experiences to make it real. That's one reason I liked it so much.

Because, I enjoyed the last course, I just started another one yesterday sponsored by University of Tennessee. So far, I listened to a panal discussion where 3 moms talked about their breastfeeding experiences. I'll update you further as I continue the course.

Two ways to get the course:
  1. type in University of Tennessee in search engine-go to departments-click on Nutrition-click on Promoting Healthy Weight Colloquia-for older discussions click on Archive-choose the presentation you want.
  2. go to NCHEC website http://www.nchec.org click on continuing education opportunities-scroll down until you see University of Tennessee and follow same instructions as above

P.S Don't forget to do the CHES self study questionnaire for the year the discussion was given-if discussion was Spring 09' questionnaire should be for Spring 09', the online evaluation for the whole course, and the speaker evaluations for each speaker
