if you're ever in oakland or berkeley and get hungry market hall is definitely the place to go! It has everything: bakery, butcher shop, fruit market, assortment of cheeses, cafe. Yesterday, I bought plenty of begals and crossants, strawberry jam. I don't know anything about jam but I can say this much for sure: this jam is different than the kind you find at Costco or any regular grocery store. It seems like it's made of higher quality fruit. I also bought some lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and carrots to make a small salad which tasted pretty good. Convenient hours. It's open until 8 pm on weekdays so you can do your shopping after work. However, it's on a busy street in Oakland called college avenue which has tons of other shops besides this one!
