furnishing

I mounted a mirror and picture on my bedroom wall. The picture was from Target and the mirror from pier 1. I am using Lowe's to get help on mounting things on the wall. Last weekend the guy at Lowe's told me to use some hangers to mount a picture, mirror, and clock. I tried to use the hooks but couldn't get them to work. I was able to mount the mirror and picture with a couple of nails. I went back to Lowe's yesterday and the guy told me the hooks I had weren't the right tools. He showed me a couple other hooks. I told him I had some like them but in bigger sizes and that I could hammer the nail in the wall but couldn't get stuff to hang on them. I mentioned that the maintenece guy used pliers to open the hooks. He showed me some pliers to open the hooks if needed. I installed a battery in the clock last night and waited to see if the time would change which it did. For the mirror, he told me to tie a copper wire to the two hooks in the back of the mirror leaving a finger length between them which I did. He then told me to use a hook to attach the wire to. I ended measuring the distance between the two hooks on the mirror, hammered in hooks with nails in the wall the same distance and mounted the mirror. Two hooks were needed so the mirror won't tilt or be unsteady.
