something to think about after Obama's law was passed I see it as good in that states with high numbers of uninsured will be forced to combat the problem. However, one problem I see with it is that people who can't get employer insurance or government insurance; part-time workers, unemployed who don't qualify for state insurance, self employed, and small businesses will be penalized because thet don't have it and can't afford it on their own. Another problem is that insurers or the states' medicaid programs won't have an incentive to ease eligibility requirements because the feds can't cut funding to state who refuse to expand requirements nor will private insurers face penalties for easing their requirements. There needs to be some financial assistance program for the above groups. What will happen to people who can't get covered privately, through the state, or through their employer? There's no backup plan for these groups.
For the past couple of years I've been working with special ed kids in the day and as an afterschool teacher in a recreation center that focuses on art. I've been working in that recreation center for the past 3 summers as well. Aside from that I like rural USA, cooking, swimming, walking to Lodi Lake. Latest obsession: orange stretch bracelets and short sleeve orange sweaters
