x-mas decoration buying @michaels

I bought more x-mas decorations @ michaels and finished quite a bit of decorating last thurs. the cashier was kind of gripy and didn't want to take backl a star because it was opened but I said I couldn't see if it works if I don't open it. The other cashier was able to box it and I got my money back. I tried to use a 40% discount coupon and the same gripy cashier said it's not good until the 2nd but I got a 10% discount.
