making the world a better place??? hmmm...

on friday, I was tutoring a student and had him read a story starting with kids talking about famous people they've read about. I asked him; "which famous person would you like to meet?" He said Martin Luther King. I asked him; "what would you ask him?" He said; "How would you make the world a better place?" A very adult like question for a 4th grader which took me by suprise. Also leaves another thought to ponder on, if you asked any city, state, or world leaders that question how do you think they would honestly answer? What do you think they could really do to make that happen?
