hateful tweets associated with snobbery?

read something in the paper a while back about a study done in Humboldt university that reported that the most hateful tweets come from the Southeast, Oregon, New Mexico, and Washington. I think it makes sense . I went to school in South Carolina and I was treated like a piece of furniture. One person tells me repeatedly that unless you're born there they'll never consider you one of them! From what I saw, I think racial segregation still occurs there along with lots of cases of old money. Snobbery, the silent treatment, emphasis on appearance. Also read a post on how racism still exists in Georgia. I also heard that Oregon and Washington don't like Californians. It's easier if they just tell you straight out "go home" or physically attack you
