In addition to small group and individual tutoring and afterschool programming, I started working specifically with special needs kids.

health care costs-what to do?
In light of Obama's new health plan, yesterday, I was watching TV and there was something about how the Clinton Health Care plan failed. The Clintons brought us into the age of managed care. It's like socialized medicine which won't work in a country built on capitalism. Not to mention that if the managed care company won't pay for treatment it can compromise a patients' health. I am wondering if Obamacare is also a form of socialized medicine. The only difference: health insurance is a requirement! But how are you going to make sure 100% of people have it? I also saw another thing on TV yesterday where a guy had a chart comparing Fee For Service (FFS) with managed care costs and managed care costs were even across the board. Just wondering if that has anything to do with the set fee managed care doctors get for providing care regardless of number of patients treated. Why all of these bits on healthcare just recently? Why is one program lambasting managed care and another one praising it?
