today I was swimming and there was a father with his two kids. I think the girl may be a bit impulsive. She asked her dad; "What time is it?" He said; "There's the clock. It's 8:00." She said; "It says 7:57." He said; "That's close enough." I replied; "That's 3 minutes away from 8 so it's safe to say it's 8." Later on, the father said; "You broke a cardinal rule, we're done for today." The girl tried to deny whatever she did. I said to the couple next to me who were laughing; "when kids are caught doing something wrong, they always try to deny it saying; 'I didn't do it.' You say; 'Yes you did, I was right there and I saw you.' She and her brother started playing Marco Polo and he pulled the boy out of the water and got him dried off. The girl asked her dad; "Can I get in the hot tub?" He said; "No, we're done for today." She said; "You're mean." He said; "Yeah, that's in response to you." I would have said; "Yeah, I get that a lot.
