Summary of Obamacare
1. You can already open up an Obamacare account
2. On Oct.1 the healthcare insurance exchanges open where you can purchase different plans
3. Starting 2014, you have to have insurance or face a penalty
... Questions/concerns about Obamacare:
1. If contraceptive services are required, women who aren't pregnant will be paying for services they won't use
2. If it's cheaper for people to buy insurance in the exchanges, their employers will drop coverage
3. If Congress members have to be in the insurance exchange, taxpayers are going to subsidize the Congress members' healthcare even if they don't have insurance themselves
4. Could it possibly be combining two worlds: stimulate competition with the different insurance plans in the exchange while making sure people have insurance through the subsidies?
5. Covering preventive services could lead to increases in healthcare costs since undiagnosed conditions will be diagnosed
6. What if someone is eligible for Medicaid and their state won't give it to them but they can't afford anything in the exchanges then what?
