2nd lesson plan-stanzas

the 2nd lesson plan, let's see:
1. 4th grade liked writing stanzas-they wrote that they peed and pooped their diapers as babies except they didn't know how to spell these words. At first, they thought I was talking about Santa
2. 1st grade got into it, their reading has slightly improved, more of them are starting to be able to write but many still can't write a single word and others have completely illegible writing. I started by asking if they know what a poem is and one of them was able to use another example to show that the last words on each line rhyme except the stanzas usually don't rhyme. I helped one of them write that his mother told him he slept through an earthquake as a baby.
But hey, they eventually have to learn to write. Why not start with 2 sentences minimum?
