the real meaning of Easter

I read a post on pinterest about how people should think about what the true meaning of Easter is rather than about the new outfit they'll wear and the Easter egg hunt and that has stuck with me when I recently thought about buying a slightly dressy outfit. The fact that Jesus was nailed to a piece of wood makes wanting to buy an Easter outfit trivial. Jesus was nailed to a piece of wood for our sins so we can sacrifice a favorite food for a week or spend less time shopping a few days out of the year!
