I think the price of food is going down. Last week I bought some chicken/potato/egg salad at Safeway and it was $4/$5 when it used to be $6/$7. I wonder if recent events in our country have something to do with that. Today at Safeway again, I waited about 30 min in line at the deli because the ladies at the front of the line were trying to explain to the worker how they wanted the sandwich. It turned out she's french so when it was my turn I spoke to her in the french I know. She asked where I was from. I said my parents were born in Egypt so she said I could also speak to her in Arabic since she understood Arabic.
For the past couple of years I've been working with special ed kids in the day and as an afterschool teacher in a recreation center that focuses on art. I've been working in that recreation center for the past 3 summers as well. Aside from that I like rural USA, cooking, swimming, walking to Lodi Lake. Latest obsession: orange stretch bracelets and short sleeve orange sweaters
