CE

Yesterday, I finally finished a CE course titled Advocating for Environment Health. It was a lengthy course with 5 modules. It covered various topics like how a bill becomes law, plenty of information about the EPA's activities, the different offices of the federal government, various ways of advocating in the media, the experiences of some community organizations in Michigan that made it their business to close down a medical waste incinerator in Henry Ford Hospital, and to get Dow Chemical to reduce its poollutants. However, one problem was hte community groups coming off as having a personal agenda so it was hard to take the scientific things as 100% fact. Here's the link for University of Michigan Public Health Training Center in case you're interested http://practice.sph.umich.edu/mphtc/site.php
