After-School Program Cuts Worry Law Enforcement, Community Leaders - AOL News
A lot of inner city school with plenty of low income kids have after school programs. They have all sorts No Child Left Behind tutoring programs come in. They serve the kids snacks and have them do homework. They also have sports activities. One problem is that some of the staff in these programs are VICIOUS. Another one is that it's hard to see any real results because some of these kids won't concentrate. There are also administrative glitches
For the past couple of years I've been working with special ed kids in the day and as an afterschool teacher in a recreation center that focuses on art. I've been working in that recreation center for the past 3 summers as well. Aside from that I like rural USA, cooking, swimming, walking to Lodi Lake. Latest obsession: orange stretch bracelets and short sleeve orange sweaters
