budget crisis

Why have we been having all these budget issues the past three of four years? Any thoughts? A couple years ago in California, the state senators spent over 22 hours in session to pass a budget. Isn't it part of their job to work on a budget in steps all year long? Now, in the federal government we're having the same issue again. Isn't it also part of the presidential staff's job to work on a budget in steps all year long? Now, they are in serious danger of closing the federal government. This may be the first time in U.S history, if I am correct or at least as long as I've been alive, that the federal government had to shut down. If the federal government shuts down, the government programs many people depend on will be gone. We will be like another third world country. Think about that! I know Obama had a stimulus spending package to revitalize the economy but it didn't do anything. How did he get the money? That was a waste on government resources since there were no extra jobs to bring money back to the government. Share your thoughts. Don't be shy
